DeSilva hotels have actively supported and undertaken actions for the benefit of charities and social campaigns since the moment our chain’s first hotel was established.
DeSilva Code of Corporate Social Responsibility turns the locations of our hotels across Poland to good use by focusing action on supporting initiatives that are crucial for local communities. Leaving a large margin for autonomous decision making by every DeSilva establishment, we make efforts to set one common policy for all supported actions, which is assisting children and adolescents living in residential children’s homes in a variety of ways, including when they make steps towards adulthood, and encouraging the disabled to find jobs.
In cooperation with Unum TUiR S.A. we planted trees. Together we fight global warming and increase oxygen production.Let’s take care of our planet!
DeSilva Hotels and Fundacja „Szczęśliwej Drogi” mutual campaign: Support the children from children’s homes!
The DeSilva Warszawa Piaseczno Hotel has joined efforts with charity Fundacja „Szczęśliwej Drogi” and Ms Kamila Szczawińska to support Kids in Children’s Homes. The support involves helping the children boost their self-confidence, discover their own strengths, acquire skills and competencies needed in adult life. By employing those of the Kids in Children’s Homes who begin their professional lives, we assist them in starting their careers in hospitality and catering industries.
Charity Campaign SUNDAY BRUNCHES in the Garden
In July-August 2016, the DeSilva Premium Opole Hotel worked with the Dr Clown Foundation to hold regular garden BRUNCHES. The fundraiser supported children’s homes in Opole, Chmielowice, Tarnów Opolski and Turawa.
President’s Jubilee Charity Ball
On 26 February 2017, the DeSilva Premium Opole Hotel in liaison with the Mercure Opole participated as the Platinum Partner in the President’s Jubilee Charity Ball. The whole amount raised during the fundraiser went to the treatment and rehabilitation of the 4-year-old Patrycja from Opole, who had been born prematurely with serious complications.
Christmas Carols Evening in Stara Zajezdnia Kraków by DeSilva
Over the past several years, the DeSilva owners and staff have warmly welcomed the children and young people in the care of Siemacha Association at the Christmas Eve’s supper in the hospitable Stara Zajezdnia in Kraków. This annual Christmas meeting in the heart of the Kazimierz quarter has become a tradition, not only for Siemacha’s kids, staff and volunteers, but also for Association’s friends from across Poland…
The Victor Pruszków by DeSilva has been taking part in all local campaigns children for many years now. In 2017, the hotel co-organised and was the main sponsor of a cooking competition for primary school children in the Pruszków County, held to promote healthy eating habits and develop cooking as a hobby among the youngsters. It also supported the Special Purpose School and Education Center by organising work placements in Hotel’s restaurants and kitchens for the disabled children and funded their prizes in a swimming competition. The Hotel was also acknowledged by the “Zdążyć z Pomocą’’ foundation for furthering the cause of supporting those in need.
The DeSilva Inn Katowice Airport Hotel has long been contributing to organising the harvest festival in the commune of Pyrzowice. Our Katowice team eagerly take part in charity campaigns to support children and youth in their everyday and professional lives. They contribute to the organisation of the conference held by the Association for Airport Rescue Services. They are always willing to join fundraising for individuals or groups.
Charity concert
Member of DeSilva Group, ibis Częstochowa worked with the Primo Diagnosis foundation to organise a remarkable event – a charity concert headlined by Teresa Mirga and Kałe Bała. City of Częstochowa Mayor Krzysztof Matyjaszczyk was patron of the event. The evening also featured an auction and dinner served by culinary virtuoso Amina Fakhari – The Taste by Amin Fakhari, accompanied by our Chef. The money raised during the concert has been given to little children suffering from autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disorders.
